Opal Inlay Ouroboros Gold Ring with Jet and Malachite Stones, Available in Multiple Karats

Here is a Solid Gold Ouroboros ring from fierbijou! This minimalist snake ring is delicately inlaid with lab grown opals one at a time and chipped jet stones create a background with high contrast. There is also an inlay of green malachite parallel to the snake. It is made to order using 8K/14K or 18K solid gold. The ring pictured here is 14K and a size 9 1/2.

Ouroboros is a mythical snake eating its own tail. It's believed to represent the cycles of growth and regeneration and symbolizes what is permanent and indestructible in us.

In this individual Ouroboros with a skin made of Jet, the snake rejuvenates with a sparkling addition of lab grown opals and is eating jet that is stripped of it.

Life eats life and we sometimes need to process or devour what is not useful to us anymore. Be it a habit, pattern or a story, the reward is rejuvenating with more sparkle. Hope these sparkles accompany you on beautiful days.

Gold Purities:
8K: %33,3 pure gold + %66,7 alloys
14K: %58,3 pure gold + %41,7 other metals
18K: %75 pure gold + %25 other metals
Please note that color of the gold slightly changes as the purities change.

There might also be small differences in the way the chipped stones are placed into your ring. For the most cases, this is not noticable to the naked eye.

There is a durable, waterproof coating on the inlay that prevent it from scratches. It has a smooth and shiny surface that is level with gold which provides comfortable wear.

As the ring size gets bigger, the ring gets a little bit wider +- 2mm. Once you place your order, I begin to prepare the ring in your size. I ask 2 weeks to dispatch your ring . If you’d like to receive it sooner, contact me and I will do my best to make it happen!

If you want laser engraving inside your ring, please specify it in your order. There are no extra fees for this service.

Sizing:
Because of the nature of your ring, re-sizing is not possible. Thus it is important that you provide me a certain one. If you don’t know your ring size, I strongly recommend visiting a jeweler to learn it. There are DIY techniques to size it at home but they usually don’t provide certain results. Please take into consideration that your fingers can get a little bit bigger in summer and a little bit smaller in winter. Also note that as the ring gets wider, the size needs to be bigger for the same finger. Please refer to the sizing chart in the photos.
